Head of Content Strategy

The remit is to head up our digital activity and accelerate it to a new market-leading level of capability and revenue, by delivering against existing and potential clients’ demand for integrated digital strategy and activation within their sport and entertainment sponsorships.
The successful candidate will be a world class digital practitioner with expertise across the digital and social mix: an outstanding track record; the ability to lead and build teams; experience of successfully consulting to clients at senior level; and the ambition and drive to create amazing work.
You must have experience in online communications and marketing, including working knowledge of online community management; content ideation, development and syndication; portal, website, blogger and influencer outreach; strategic online partnership negotiation; activation and event execution including mobile marketing solutions; new business/client proposals and presentations; analytics and measurement. Strong candidates for this position will also possess a passion for technology and innovation, and the desire to affect change in the social media revolution.
In addition to the above the role will also call for the following experience:
- Proven work experience in a similar role
- Proven experience advising clients on their digital content journey
- Significant experience in a senior management role, ideally agency side
- Bachelors’ degree (BA/BS) from a recognised university or college
- An in-depth understanding and passion for sport and entertainment sponsorship and marketing
- A strong understanding of PR, communications, social media, advertising and marketing across all media
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment working in multi-disciplinary skills
- Budget management experience
- Effective problem-solving skills including the ability to assess situations, evaluate options and make decisions
- Ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
PR Account Director
We are looking for an Account Director to lead a major client across multiple sponsorships and play a significant role in running and developing the Synergy Communications division.
The role needs someone with proven experience as an Account Director in PR, who is an accomplished, innovative sponsorship and PR practitioner with experience of major brands and sponsorships. From strategy to creative idea generation they will know how to design and implement major sponsorship campaigns.
They will be commercially savvy, disciplined and results-orientated; have world class interpersonal and communication skills, both client-facing and internal; be a team leader, but also a team player, not afraid to get their hands dirty and go the extra mile to get the job done.
In addition to the above, the role will also call for the following experience:
- Leading and mentoring an account team of five, including internal performance reviews
- An appetite for new business with experience in sourcing leads, pitching and winning business
- Exceptional contacts in lifestyle, sport and digital media
- Project management and delivery of online campaigns from briefing, managing studio, content development through to development of the analytics/measurement processes
- Profitability of the account vs utilisation and margin targets
- Pro-active approach to growing the Synergy Communications division
- Management of the applicable budgets
- Responsibility for quarterly client-facing performance reviews
- Responsibility for maintaining and improving Synergy’s client performance rating
