Synergy has consulted on RBS’s Tennis sponsorship since RBS became Andy’s official sponsor in 2004.

RBS has backed Andy Murray since he was 13 years old, during which time Andy has climbed to the peak of the game. When Andy’s contract with RBS was extended in 2006, RBS also became an official sponsor of Andy’s older brother Jamie. Jamie has since seen much success on the doubles circuit, including his Wimbledon Championship victory in 2007 with Jelena Jancovich.

Synergy works with RBS on continuing to develop their sponsorship of both Murray brothers year-on-year, altering strands of activity to fit the changing RBS business requirements.

Synergy manages a PR programme around RBS Supergrounds – the grassroots programme that aims to create better outdoor spaces for primary school children. Andy and Jamie have both acted as excellent ambassadors for the initiative, and Synergy has maximised the Murray involvement through an annual programme of media appearances around key dates in the tennis calendar.

Most recently, Synergy has consulted on the development of The Murray Experience – a unique customer and client event that provides tennis fans with exclusive access to Team Murray. This experiential day involves Andy, Jamie, their mother and former tennis Champion Judy Murray, as well as several members of Andy’s fitness team. Guests are offered the opportunity to return Andy’s serve, experience his gruelling fitness drills and get an insight into the life of a global athlete.

Synergy continues to support the Murray sponsorship with an integrated sponsorship activation programme that offers maximum value to all RBS business units. In addition to promotion of The Murray Experience, Synergy has executed PR opportunities such as sponsored columns with members of Team Murray around Wimbledon, press promotions and maximising contractual appearance days within a strategic PR programme.
