Guinness Club Together is a scheme created by Guinness to reward and support grassroots rugby clubs. Synergy was tasked with creating prizes for Guinness Club Together members that maximised those assets to which Guinness had access through its title sponsorship of the English Rugby Premiership.
To encourage clubs to take part in the scheme, Synergy created three training events which enabled grassroots rugby clubs to win the chance to be put through their paces by a Guinness Premiership Director of Rugby.
Synergy transformed the winning clubs’ training grounds via the installation of Guinness Premiership pitch kit and training equipment. Synergy liaised directly with the winning clubs, in order to ensure that each club’s specific training requirements were agreed, prior to the event, allowing the Director of Rugby to prepare a bespoke session to the winning club. Following the training session Synergy arranged for a pie and a pint to be available post match, offering the winners the opportunity to chat to the Director of Rugby on a more social basis.
Nottingham Casuals winner Oli Mott, who won a training session with Welsh coach Shaun Edwards, said that this experience had "been absolutely fabulous, and a once in a lifetime opportunity having someone like Shaun work with players at our level".
